"Stressed, overworked, overweight, unfit - that was me 6 years ago. A friend suggested I might benefit from, and enjoy, Pilates so I signed up with Pilates North East. Wow, was my friend right! Through a combination of Pilates, healthy eating and walking (and retiring!) I have shed almost 2 stones in weight and am feeling so much healthier. My newly acquired core strength has helped to improve a lower back issue. Pilates has also significantly improved my posture.  I enjoy singing in a choir and Pilates has helped with my breathing, making me much more aware of my own lung capacity, and how to use it well.
Pilates North East is a unique set up as it caters for all levels of ability and runs many sessions throughout the week to accommodate those levels.
To summarise, Pilates has helped me to change my life, for the better!  Many thanks to the amazing teachers, all of whom are experts in their field, who demonstrate their own skill, knowledge and technique to a very high standard. They also offer one to one constructive feedback when required and treat you as an individual rather than one of the crowd. I am now a rejuvenated sexagenarian, that has to be time and money well spent, right?!"

"Being diagnosed with breast cancer is scary. My physio asking me to shrug my shoulders is scary. When I suggested returning to Pilates, my physio was fully behind me and liaised directly with Pilates North East about my specific needs. Turning up for the first session was so daunting but both Gill and Carol were very welcoming and the studio was like a safe haven where I could just think about ‘me’ for an hour.  After the first session I came out feeling lighter, calmer and taller.
