Pilates North East is located in the centre of Chester-le-Street. Pilates is highly recommended by GPs, osteopaths, chiropractors and physiotherapists, and it is the intelligent way to strengthen both your body and your mind. We offer a relaxing & uplifting environment where you can focus on your Pilates practice away from everyday stresses.

As we cannot welcome you into the studio at this time, we now offer a wide range of classes online to suit all ages and abilities. From total beginners to advanced, we have a class that will suit you and you can enrol at any time.

As well as our class timetable, we also offer additional services including one-to-one tuition and classes for small private groups. We are more than happy to provide bespoke classes if required. These specific sessions must be pre-booked and we will contact you for a consultation prior to your first class. Mini zoom sessions to understand how it all works are available too! CLASSES FOR ALL AGES AND ABILITIES

Whatever your age and level of fitness, whatever Pilates experience you have, we have a class for you. Many of our classes suit more than one level and we always offer modifications for individual clients. We also run Healthy Backs sessions for people with issues and weaknesses whereby the exercises are modified to create optimal muscular skeletal performance, strength, flexibility, and endurance. Our Healthy Backs class will be added to our online timetable soon. Some examples of our classes can be found below.

Back to Basics

A gentle class to ease you into Pilates. Does your back ache? Has lockdown affected your mobility? We will help you find a spring in your step once again.

Let us take you through a functional matwork exercise program to improve your strength, mobility and posture. Modifications for any health issues will be offered. This sessions ends with a restorative relaxation.

For those of you experienced in the basic matwork principles, join this class to enjoy flowing movement from one exercise to the next.

This class is multi level, so there will be options to progress or regress each exercise to suit how your body is feeling.

This Pilates class has the extra element of a dynamic flow from one exercise to another and uses equipment to add further challenge. In this class we will use our dynamic core, awaken our internal awareness and focus on a mind and body connection. Movement is never separate from life. In this class we will mobilise the body and work on releasing and unravelling the spine. We hold on to unnecessary tension and if this is left unaddressed, it can impact on our health. Let’s connect back with our breath, move slowly and mindfully throughout the whole body, stretching and letting go. Liberation in a confined time of our lives.
